Banking Legal Intern

Qatar National Bank (QNB) invites applications for its Banking Legal Internship at QNB headquarters on the Doha Corniche. This 10-week paid internship offers law students and recent graduates hands-on experience in banking law within the Middle East's largest financial institution. Interns will rotate across the Group Legal Division's sub-teams covering credit, trade finance, compliance, and corporate governance.

Programme Details

• Duration: 10 weeks with rotations across legal sub-teams
• Location: QNB Group Headquarters, West Bay Corniche, Doha
• Paid internship: Monthly stipend provided
• Open to: Law students in their final year or recent LLB/LLM graduates

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing credit documentation, facility agreements, and security instruments
• Conduct legal research on Qatar Central Bank regulations and banking legislation
• Support the compliance team on AML/CFT due diligence reviews
• Draft legal memoranda on banking law topics under supervision
• Attend internal training sessions on banking products and services

• Rotate across credit legal, trade finance, compliance, and governance teams
• Complete assigned research projects within each rotation
• Attend mentoring sessions with senior legal officers
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards
• Present findings from each rotation to the Head of Legal

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an LLB or LLM programme
• Interest in banking law, finance, or financial services regulation
• Strong academic record and analytical skills
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills preferred
• Right to work in Qatar or eligibility for an internship visa
