Corporate Law Intern — Summer Programme

Al Tamimi & Company's Doha office invites applications for its Summer Internship Programme in the Corporate and Commercial practice group. This 10-week paid internship provides hands-on experience in one of the Middle East's leading law firms, based in the West Bay financial district. Interns will work alongside experienced lawyers on real client matters involving M&A, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance under Qatari law.

Programme Details

• Duration: 10 weeks (June to August)
• Location: Al Tamimi & Company, West Bay, Doha
• Paid internship: Competitive monthly stipend provided
• Open to: Law students in their penultimate or final year, or recent LLB/JD graduates

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on Qatar Commercial Companies Law (Law No. 11 of 2015) and QFC regulations
• Draft memoranda, client briefings, and due diligence reports under supervision
• Attend client meetings, court hearings, and arbitration proceedings as an observer
• Assist with document review and transaction management on live deals
• Participate in the firm's professional development and mentorship programme

• Support the corporate team on active transactions and advisory matters
• Complete assigned research projects and present findings to the team
• Participate in weekly training sessions on Qatari legal topics
• Maintain time recording and professional standards
• Deliver an end-of-programme presentation on a selected legal topic

• Currently enrolled in an LLB, JD, or LLM programme at a recognised university, or recent graduate
• Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in corporate or commercial law
• Fluent English required; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage
• Right to work in Qatar (firm provides visa sponsorship for qualified candidates)
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
