Position Overview
Internship Description
Banwo & Ighodalo offers a four-week internship programme for exceptional law students and recent graduates. The Corporate Practice internship provides immersion in daily firm operations including research, drafting, client meetings, trainings, presentations and social events.
Interns are challenged to stretch themselves intellectually and gain exposure to Nigeria’s leading corporate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Assisting lawyers with legal research and memoranda preparation
- Reviewing and summarising corporate documents and transaction files
- Attending internal training sessions and practice group meetings
- Shadowing Partners and Associates during client engagements
- Preparing presentations on assigned legal topics
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an LL.B programme at a recognised Nigerian university (400-level or 500-level preferred) or recently graduated
- Strong academic record (minimum Second Class Upper)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Genuine interest in corporate and commercial law
Compensation
₦100,000 - ₦150,000/month
