Internship — Legal & Compliance

Bulgartabac / BAT Bulgaria offers a Legal & Compliance Internship at its Burgas facility for law students seeking in-house corporate experience. Interns will work alongside the legal team on contract reviews, compliance projects, and corporate governance matters, gaining exposure to the legal challenges of operating in a heavily regulated FMCG industry. The program includes mentorship from experienced in-house counsel and participation in BAT's global intern network.

Assisting in-house counsel with review of commercial contracts and supplier agreements; Conducting legal research on regulatory compliance topics; Supporting internal compliance monitoring and audit activities; Assisting with preparation of corporate governance documentation; Reviewing and updating contract templates and standard terms; Monitoring legislative changes relevant to FMCG and tobacco regulation; Participating in BAT global legal intern webinars and training sessions.

Currently enrolled in years III-V of a Law degree at a recognized Bulgarian university; Interest in corporate law, compliance, or regulatory affairs; Basic knowledge of the Commerce Act and Obligations and Contracts Act; Academic grade average of minimum 4.50/6.00; Fluent Bulgarian and English; Proactive and detail-oriented; Available for minimum 20 hours per week for at least 3 months.
