Internship Description

TSMC offers an IP Legal Internship for law and engineering students to gain exposure to patent management at the world's leading semiconductor company. Interns will work with the IP legal team on patent portfolio management, licensing analysis, and invention disclosure review.

Responsibilities

Review and summarize invention disclosures from R&D engineers; assist with patent landscape analysis for emerging semiconductor technologies; support patent prosecution by organizing prior art references and technical documentation; research patent law developments in key jurisdictions; attend internal IP review committee meetings.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in law or engineering program; interest in intellectual property and semiconductor technology; basic understanding of patent law concepts; strong analytical and research skills; bilingual in Mandarin and English; coursework in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
