Internship Description
Carrillo & Asociados is offering a Legal Internship in its Agricultural Law practice in Escuintla. You will gain practical experience in agribusiness law, land rights, and commercial transactions for Guatemala's agricultural sector, including sugar, palm oil, and coffee industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Research agricultural legislation and MAGA regulatory requirements
- Assist with land title searches and property due diligence
- Draft basic supply contracts and agricultural commercial agreements
- Support attorneys on agricultural export compliance documentation
- Monitor developments in Guatemalan agricultural policy and trade
Responsibilities
- Support the agricultural law team on active client matters
- Prepare research memoranda on land tenure and agricultural regulations
- Assist with document filing and case organization
- Visit agricultural operations with supervising attorneys
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales at a recognised Guatemalan university
- Completed at least 5th semester
- Interest in agricultural, commercial, or real estate law
- Proficiency in Spanish
- Willingness to be based in Escuintla
