Legal Intern - Central Banking & Regulation

Banka Slovenije (Bank of Slovenia) offers a Legal Internship in our Legal Department in Ljubljana. As the national central bank and a member of the Eurosystem, Banka Slovenije provides interns with unique exposure to central banking law, financial supervision, and EU monetary policy from a legal perspective.

You will gain experience with ZBS-1 (Bank of Slovenia Act), ZBan-3 (Banking Act), and the ECB legal framework. This internship is ideal for law students with a strong interest in public law, financial regulation, or EU institutional law, and provides an excellent foundation for careers in central banking, financial supervision, or regulatory practice.

Assist with legal research on central banking, financial supervision, and monetary policy matters. Draft preliminary legal opinions on regulatory questions. Support the team in analyzing EU financial legislation and ECB legal instruments. Help maintain the legal database and regulatory tracking system. Attend internal meetings and gain exposure to central banking operations.

Current enrollment in or recent completion of Magister prava at a recognized university. Strong academic record in public law, EU law, or financial law. Interest in central banking, financial supervision, or monetary policy. Proficiency in Slovenian and English. Analytical skills and research aptitude.
