Legal Intern — Corporate & Governance

Mercantil Servicios Financieros is offering a legal internship supporting its Corporate Governance team, based in Valencia. Interns will gain exposure to corporate secretarial functions, board governance, and financial sector regulatory compliance at one of Venezuela's premier financial groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Research Venezuelan corporate governance codes and SNV disclosure requirements
• Assist with preparation of board meeting materials and shareholders' assembly documentation
• Draft summaries of corporate governance policies and regulatory updates
• Support the team with corporate secretarial functions for group entities in Carabobo State
• Maintain corporate minute books and governance compliance records

• Assist legal counsel with board meeting preparation
• Process corporate filings and maintain compliance records
• Attend corporate governance training sessions
• Participate in Mercantil's internship development programme

• Currently enrolled in final two years of law school (Derecho) at a Venezuelan university
• Interest in corporate law, corporate governance, or financial regulation
• Proficient in Spanish; English preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems
