Legal Intern – Fund Services & Depositary
Societe Generale Luxembourg on Avenue Emile Reuter offers a legal internship in its Fund Services legal department. As a leading depositary bank and fund administrator in Luxembourg, Societe Generale provides interns with exposure to the operational and legal backbone of the Luxembourg fund industry.
You will assist the legal team with depositary agreement reviews, fund administration contract management, and regulatory compliance matters for UCITS and AIF clients.
What You Will Do
- Assist with reviewing and drafting depositary and fund administration agreements
- Research UCITS V depositary requirements and AIFMD delegated regulations
- Support the team on fund onboarding legal documentation
- Draft legal memoranda on regulatory and contractual matters
- Assist with compliance monitoring for depositary function obligations
Responsibilities
- Support the fund services legal team on daily operations
- Conduct legal research on depositary and fund administration regulation
- Assist with contract review and documentation management
- Attend team meetings and training sessions
- Complete assigned research and analysis projects
Requirements
- Enrolled in or recently completed Master in Law at a recognised European university
- Interest in fund law, banking law, or financial services regulation
- Fluent in English and French; German is an advantage
- Good analytical and drafting skills
- Familiarity with Luxembourg fund industry basics is desirable
