About the Internship
Hammouri & Partners invites applications for a paid legal internship in the Litigation department. This hands-on 3-month programme exposes interns to Jordanian court practice across civil, commercial, and administrative jurisdictions. Ideal for law students who want to understand how the Jordanian court system works in practice.
What You Will Learn
- Attend court hearings at the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal, and observe proceedings at the Court of Cassation
- Assist lawyers with drafting pleadings, written submissions, and case summaries for ongoing litigation matters
- Conduct legal research on the Jordanian Civil Procedure Law, Evidence Law, and relevant substantive legislation
- Help prepare case bundles, witness statements, and evidence submissions for trial
- Observe client consultations and participate in case strategy discussions
- Complete a research project on a current legal topic, presented to the firm s litigation team
Eligibility
- Current third-year or fourth-year LLB students at a recognised Jordanian university
- Strong interest in litigation, advocacy, and court practice
- Good academic standing and demonstrated research and writing skills
- Fluency in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage
- Duration: 3 months, full-time or part-time arrangements available
- Compensation: Paid internship at JOD 250-350 per month
- Successful interns may be considered for the firm s trainee lawyer programme
