Internship Description
Aluko & Oyebode invites applications from recent law graduates completing their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year to join the Dispute Resolution practice group. The NYSC Associate Programme provides hands-on experience in litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution across the firm’s Lagos office.
NYSC Associates are mentored by experienced Senior Associates and Partners, gaining exposure to high-profile commercial disputes in Nigerian courts and international arbitration tribunals.
Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research and preparing case memoranda
- Assisting with drafting court processes and arbitration submissions
- Attending court proceedings alongside senior lawyers
- Reviewing and analysing case files and relevant legislation
- Supporting the team on pro bono matters
Requirements
- LL.B from a recognised Nigerian university (minimum Second Class Upper)
- B.L. from the Nigerian Law School
- Currently serving or about to commence NYSC
- Strong research, writing and advocacy skills
- Keen interest in litigation and dispute resolution
Compensation
₦150,000 - ₦200,000/month
