Internship Description
Pérez Bustamante & Ponce offers a pasantía (pre-professional internship) in its Corporate Law practice in Quito. This is an outstanding opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience at one of Ecuador's top-ranked firms, working alongside partners and senior associates on M&A, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
Pasantes will participate in due diligence exercises, assist with company formations before the Superintendencia de Compañías, and gain exposure to cross-border transactions with regional and international clients.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with corporate due diligence and document review for M&A transactions
- Preparing company formation documents and regulatory filings
- Conducting legal research on the Ley de Compañías and Código de Comercio
- Supporting the team with contract review and corporate governance matters
- Attending client meetings and transaction closings as an observer
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the final 2 years of Derecho at USFQ, PUCE, UDLA, Universidad de las Américas, or equivalent
- Strong academic record (top 20% of class preferred)
- Interest in corporate, commercial, or transactional law
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Availability for a minimum of 6 months
Compensation
$500 - $750/year
