The Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) is offering a 10-week paid internship in its Policy & Legal Division at the QFC Tower in West Bay. This internship provides a rare opportunity to work within a financial services regulator, gaining insight into how regulations are developed, implemented, and enforced within the Qatar Financial Centre.

Programme Details

• Duration: 10 weeks
• Location: QFCRA, QFC Tower, West Bay, Doha
• Paid internship: Monthly stipend of QAR 5,000-7,000
• Open to: Law or finance students in their final year, or recent graduates

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comparative research on international financial regulatory standards (FATF, IOSCO, Basel Committee)
• Assist with drafting consultation papers and regulatory impact assessments
• Support the legal team on policy development projects
• Compile regulatory intelligence reports on developments in peer financial centres
• Attend internal meetings and observe the regulatory process firsthand

• Support the Policy & Legal Division on active projects
• Complete research assignments within agreed timelines
• Attend internal training on QFC regulatory framework
• Prepare a policy brief on a selected regulatory topic
• Present research findings to the QFCRA leadership team

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a law, finance, or economics programme
• Interest in financial regulation, compliance, or public policy
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written English
• Right to work in Qatar or eligibility for an internship visa
