The role involves advising on cross-border wealth structuring, suitability and appropriateness obligations under MiFID II and FinSA, and managing regulatory risk across Swiss and international private banking operations.
What You Will Do
- Provide legal advice on wealth management products and services
- Advise on FinSA/FinIA client protection obligations
- Support the development of new financial products and advisory mandates
- Manage litigation risk and coordinate with external counsel on client disputes
- Advise on trust, estate, and succession planning matters for UHNW clients
Responsibilities
- Lead legal advisory on wealth management client matters
- Review and approve new products and services
- Manage external counsel on complex litigation and regulatory matters
- Drive legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Contribute to regulatory policy development within the firm
Requirements
- Swiss Anwaltspatent required
- MLaw from a Swiss university; LL.M. is an advantage
- 8-12 years of experience in wealth management legal, private banking, or financial regulatory law
- Deep knowledge of FinSA, FinIA, CISA, and related Swiss financial regulation
- Fluent in German and English; French or Italian is a plus
- Experience advising on cross-border tax and regulatory matters
Compensation
CHF22,000 - CHF32,000/year
