As a stagiaire, you will gain hands-on experience with EU anti-dumping investigations, customs classification disputes, and sanctions compliance matters. This is ideal for law graduates interested in the intersection of international trade, EU external relations, and customs law.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with EU anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigation responses
  • Research EU customs law and Union Customs Code provisions
  • Draft legal memoranda on trade defence and sanctions matters
  • Monitor DG Trade proceedings and WTO developments
  • Assist with client advisory on EU sanctions and export control compliance

Responsibilities

  • Support the trade and customs team on EU trade defence proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and draft advisory memoranda
  • Attend DG Trade hearings and industry events
  • Complete bar training requirements alongside practical work
  • Contribute to the firm's trade law publications

Requirements

  • Master in Law from a Belgian or European university
  • Registered or eligible as stagiaire with the Brussels Bar
  • Interest in international trade law, EU external relations, or customs law
  • Fluent in English; French or Dutch required for bar admission
  • LL.M. in International Trade Law or College of Europe diploma is an advantage
