Stikeman Elliott LLP is accepting applications for Articling Students at its Montreal office at 1155 Rene-Levesque Boulevard West. This paid 10-month articling program offers rotations through multiple practice groups and is conducted in both English and French, reflecting Montreal's bilingual legal market.
Program Details
- Duration: 10 months (starting September 2026)

- Rotations: Corporate/M&A, Tax, Competition, Securities, and Litigation groups

Key Responsibilities
- Rotate through 2-3 practice groups to gain diverse experience in business law
- Draft legal memoranda, contract summaries, and research opinions in English and French
- Assist with M&A due diligence, securities filings, and competition law analysis
- Attend hearings at the Palais de Justice de Montreal and Quebec Superior Court
- Participate in the Barreau du Quebec professional training course (Ecole du Barreau)
Eligibility
- BCL/LLB or JD candidate from a recognized Quebec or Canadian law school
- Eligible for the Barreau du Quebec admission process
- Bilingual (English/French) required
- Strong academic record with interest in business law
