Internship Description

Mannheimer Swartling is offering a summer trainee position (sommarnotarie) in its Corporate/M&A practice at Norrlandsgatan 21 in Stockholm's Östermalm district. This is Sweden's most competitive summer clerkship — you will work alongside advokater and biträdande jurister on live M&A transactions, gaining hands-on experience with Aktiebolagslagen, Nasdaq Stockholm regulations, and deal execution at Scandinavia's largest law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with due diligence reviews and preparation of data room materials for M&A transactions
  • Research Swedish corporate law questions under Aktiebolagslagen and related legislation
  • Draft board resolutions, Bolagsverket filings, and ancillary transaction documents
  • Attend client meetings and transaction closings alongside senior practitioners

Requirements

  • Enrolled in juristprogrammet (Swedish law programme) at Stockholm, Uppsala, Lund, or Gothenburg University — completed minimum 3.5 years
  • Strong academic record (minimum VG/B average)
  • Interest in corporate law, M&A, and capital markets
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
