Job Description

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-9: In order to qualify for the GS-9 level, you must meet at least one of the following conditions as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a Combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience: Must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: maintaining and administering a variety of routine budget, finance, contracting, and procurement management activities; making purchases of supplies, equipment, and services using agency/office credit cards, contract services, and other payment methods; providing administrative support services in areas such as space management, mail, records, forms management and communication services, office automation, information management and communications hardware and software; coordinating facility maintenance and/or repair activities for workspaces. Education: Must possess one of the following types of education in a related field: a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Public Administration, etc.); OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. Combining Education and Experience: Must illustrate a combination of specialized experience as described in A and graduate education as described in B which when combined equal 100% of the requirements (only graduate education in excess of 1 full year is creditable). GS-11: In order to qualify for the GS-11 level, you must meet at least one of the following conditions as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a Combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience: Must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: formulating, justifying, and monitoring the execution of an office's budget and its various contracts; reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate method to procure a variety of standard products and services; identifying cost-benefit relationships between budget and program goals; analyzing financial requirements, space requirements, and other support service's needs; and analyzing and making recommendations to support service functions in areas such as space management, purchasing supplies and equipment, security, internal controls, mail, records, reproduction services, forms management, office automation, information management, and communications hardware and software. Education: Must possess one of the following types of education in a related field: a PH. D or equivalent doctoral degree (in a related field e.g. Business, Finance, Public Administration, etc.); OR three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. Combining Education and Experience: Must illustrate a combination of specialized experience as described in A and graduate education as described in B which when combined equal 100% of the requirements (only graduate education in excess of 2 full years is creditable). Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy.
