Advogado — Direito do Trabalho

PLMJ's Porto office is looking for an Advogado to join its Direito do Trabalho practice. Located in Porto's Boavista business district, you will advise multinational companies and Portuguese employers on all aspects of employment law under the Código do Trabalho (Lei n.º 7/2009), including restructurings, collective dismissals, executive contracts, and workplace disputes. Porto's growing tech ecosystem and industrial base create strong demand for sophisticated employment law advice.

Principais Responsabilidades

• Advise on individual and collective dismissals, despedimento coletivo procedures, and ERTE-style lay-off provisions under the Código do Trabalho
• Draft and negotiate executive service agreements, non-compete clauses, and pactos de não concorrência compliant with Portuguese law
• Support M&A teams on labour due diligence and workforce transfers under Article 285.º of the Código do Trabalho (transmissão de empresa)
• Represent clients before the Tribunais do Trabalho and the Autoridade para as Condições do Trabalho (ACT)
• Advise on remote work regulations (teletrabalho) under Lei n.º 83/2021 and workplace health and safety

Requisitos

• Licenciatura or Mestrado em Direito from a recognised Portuguese university
• Inscrito na Ordem dos Advogados; 3-6 years PQE in employment and labour law
• Strong knowledge of the Código do Trabalho and Portuguese Social Security system
• Good working English for international client coordination
