Kromann Reumert's Aarhus office is seeking an Advokat for its growing ESG and Corporate Sustainability practice. Aarhus is home to many mid-cap Danish companies navigating the EU's expanding sustainability regulatory framework, and the firm's Aarhus office provides them with specialist ESG legal advisory.

You will advise Danish companies on CSRD implementation, EU Taxonomy classification, supply chain due diligence under the CSDDD, and sustainable finance regulation.

What You Will Do

  • Advise Danish companies on CSRD compliance and ESRS reporting requirements
  • Assess EU Taxonomy eligibility and alignment for corporate activities
  • Advise on CSDDD supply chain due diligence implementation
  • Draft sustainability governance policies and board advisory notes
  • Handle greenwashing risk assessments and marketing claims review under the EU Green Claims Directive
  • Advise on sustainable finance products and SFDR compliance

Responsibilities

  • Advise Danish mid-cap and large companies on ESG compliance
  • Support CSRD implementation projects and reporting review
  • Advise on EU Taxonomy and sustainable finance regulation
  • Contribute to thought leadership and client events on ESG topics
  • Collaborate with the Copenhagen office on major ESG mandates

Requirements

  • Danish Bar admission (advokat) or senior advokatfuldmægtig
  • Cand.jur. from a Danish university; LL.M. in Environmental Law, EU Law, or Corporate Governance preferred
  • 3-6 years of experience in ESG, corporate governance, or environmental law
  • Knowledge of CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD, and Danish implementation measures
  • Fluent in Danish and English
  • Interest in sustainability and climate policy
