Job Description
A growing coastal law firm is hiring an Associate Advocate specializing in Real Estate and Banking & Finance for its Mombasa office. The role involves handling residential and commercial real estate transactions, drafting agreements, managing securities perfection (charges, mortgages, debentures), and serving as primary client contact for property and banking matters.
Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end conveyancing transactions including property due diligence and title searches. Draft and review mortgage instruments, charge documents, and banking facility agreements. Advise clients on land acquisition, leasing, and property development. Conduct legal audits on property portfolios for banking clients. Oversee filing and registration at government registries.
Requirements
LLB with minimum Second-Class Upper Division. Admission to the Bar with valid Practicing Certificate. 3-4 years PQE in a reputable law firm. Experience in real estate transactions and securities perfection.
