Job Description
Associate — Corporate & M&A, Gide Loyrette Nouel Algiers
Gide Loyrette Nouel, one of the world's leading international law firms, is seeking a talented Associate to join its Algiers office. The successful candidate will work on complex cross-border transactions involving Algeria, with a focus on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and foreign direct investment.
Rôle et responsabilités
- Advise international and Algerian clients on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings
- Conduct legal due diligence on Algerian target companies
- Draft and negotiate share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, and corporate documentation
- Provide regulatory advice on Algeria's foreign investment framework (Code de l'investissement)
- Assist with Competition Council (Conseil de la Concurrence) merger notifications
- Collaborate with Gide offices across Africa, the Middle East, and Paris

Requirements
Master's degree in Law (Master 2 in Business Law or equivalent). 3-5 years PQE in corporate/M&A law, preferably at an international firm or major Algerian cabinet. Strong knowledge of Algerian commercial code (Code de commerce) and investment laws. Excellent French and English skills required; Arabic an advantage. Experience with cross-border transactions involving Algeria or North Africa. Ability to work independently and manage multiple mandates.
