Job Description

Associate – Real Estate & Construction

TozziniFreire Advogados is hiring a mid-level real estate associate for its Porto Alegre office. The role involves advising on real estate transactions, construction contracts, and property development in southern Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on acquisitions, sales, and leasing of commercial and industrial properties in southern Brazil
  • Draft and negotiate construction contracts (EPC, EPCM), development agreements, and built-to-suit arrangements
  • Conduct real estate due diligence including title searches (certidões), environmental assessments, and zoning compliance
  • Advise on real estate investment funds (FIIs) and securitisation of real estate receivables (CRIs)
  • Support urbanistic and environmental approvals for development projects with municipal and state authorities

Requirements

  • Bacharel em Direito; OAB registration active (OAB/RS preferred)
  • 4–7 years' experience in real estate, construction, or property law
  • Knowledge of Brazilian property law, registry system, and real estate finance instruments
  • English proficiency; familiarity with southern Brazil's real estate market preferred
