Avocat Généraliste

RTM Law Office in Mahajanga is seeking an Avocat Généraliste to join its practice serving the Boeny region. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse portfolio of matters across property law, commercial law, family law, and agricultural law. Mahajanga's economy is driven by fishing, agriculture, and tourism, and RTM's clients range from fishing cooperatives and agricultural concession holders to hotel operators and local businesses.

You will appear regularly before the Tribunal de Première Instance de Mahajanga and handle both litigation and transactional matters. The role is ideal for an avocat seeking a balanced practice in a dynamic regional city with strong client relationships and community ties.

• Handle a diverse portfolio of legal matters across multiple practice areas
• Represent clients before the Tribunal de Première Instance de Mahajanga
• Advise clients on property transactions, land disputes, and agricultural concessions
• Draft commercial contracts, lease agreements, and partnership agreements
• Handle family law matters including successions, divorces, and custody disputes
• Advise fishing cooperatives and tourism operators on regulatory compliance
• Build and maintain client relationships in the Boeny and Sofia regions

• CAPA certification and enrollment at a Malagasy Barreau
• 3-5 years of general legal practice experience
• Broad knowledge across property, commercial, family, and agricultural law
• Experience appearing before Tribunaux de Première Instance
• Fluency in French and Malagasy is mandatory
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Willingness to be based in Mahajanga
• Knowledge of fisheries regulations and tourism permits is a plus
