About the Role
Bernitsas Law is seeking a Banking & Finance Lawyer to join our Athens office. You will advise domestic and international financial institutions on loan agreements, securitizations, NPL transactions, and regulatory compliance under Greek and EU banking frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate loan facility agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements
- Advise on NPL portfolio sales, securitizations, and credit servicing arrangements
- Research Greek banking legislation and Bank of Greece regulatory requirements
- Support project finance and infrastructure lending transactions
- Collaborate with international law firms on syndicated lending and cross-border financing
Requirements
- Greek law degree; LLM in banking/finance law preferred
- Active membership of a Greek Dikigoritikos Syllogos
- 3-6 years of experience in banking and finance law
- Knowledge of Greek Law 4261/2014 (CRD IV transposition) and ECB supervisory framework
- Excellent English communication and drafting skills
Compensation
€3,500 - €5,500/month
