Compliance Officer — Tax Compliance & Enforcement at URA
The Uganda Revenue Authority is recruiting a Compliance Officer to strengthen its tax compliance and enforcement division. The role involves monitoring taxpayer compliance, investigating tax evasion, and supporting enforcement actions to ensure revenue collection targets are met.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze taxpayer compliance patterns
- Investigate suspected cases of tax evasion and avoidance
- Prepare compliance reports and enforcement recommendations
- Support tax audit teams with legal compliance guidance
- Advise on penalties, interest, and enforcement actions under the Tax Procedures Code Act
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies on tax crime investigations
Requirements
- LLB or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification in law (Diploma in Legal Practice) or accounting (CPA, ACCA) is an advantage
- 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance, audit, or enforcement
- Knowledge of Uganda's tax laws and EFRIS (Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing System)
- Analytical and investigative skills
- Strong attention to detail and integrity

USh4,000,000 - USh7,000,000/month
