Position Overview
Job Description
SyCip Salazar is seeking a Contract Law Attorney to join its commercial transactions practice in Makati CBD. The attorney will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts for Philippine and multinational clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including supply agreements, distribution agreements, service-level agreements, and technology licensing contracts
- Review and advise on contract terms, risk allocation, indemnification provisions, and dispute resolution mechanisms under the Civil Code of the Philippines
- Advise clients on contract compliance, amendment processes, and termination procedures
- Handle construction contracts, EPC agreements, and procurement contracts for infrastructure projects
- Draft government procurement contracts in compliance with RA 9184 (Government Procurement Reform Act)
- Develop contract templates and playbooks for recurring client transactions
Requirements
- Admitted to the Philippine Bar with active IBP membership
- 4-6 years of experience in contract law, commercial transactions, or in-house legal work
- Strong knowledge of the Civil Code (Obligations and Contracts), commercial law, and government procurement regulations
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
- J.D. or LL.B. from a recognized Philippine law school
- Experience with construction contracts or infrastructure projects is an advantage
- Proficiency in English with strong attention to detail
Compensation
₱70,000 - ₱100,000/year
