Corporate and Tax Junior Associate

VDB Loi Myanmar is seeking a motivated Junior Associate to join our Corporate and Tax advisory team at our Inya Lake office in Yangon. This entry-level position is ideal for a recently qualified Advocate looking to develop expertise in Myanmar corporate law, foreign investment structuring, and tax advisory.

You will assist senior lawyers in advising clients on company incorporations through DICA, MIC permit applications, and tax planning under the Income Tax Law and Commercial Tax Law. The role provides excellent training in cross-border transaction structuring and compliance with Myanmar's evolving regulatory framework.

• Assist with DICA company registration and annual compliance filings
• Support preparation of MIC permit applications and investor presentations
• Draft corporate resolutions, shareholder agreements, and board minutes
• Research Myanmar tax laws and prepare tax advisory memoranda
• Assist with legal due diligence on corporate transactions
• Maintain client document management and regulatory compliance calendars

• LL.B. from University of Yangon, Dagon University, or equivalent
• Newly qualified or up to 2 years of legal experience
• Basic knowledge of Myanmar Companies Law 2017 and Investment Law 2016
• Strong academic record
• Excellent Myanmar and English language skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
