Are you ready for a new challenge with meaningful impact? L&I’s DOSH is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Compliance Industrial Safety & Health Investigator (CISHI) 1, 2, or 3 to join our Region 10 – statewide agriculture team in any statewide L&I location.


In this role, you will focus on workplace exposure hazards involving chemical, physical, and biological agents in mainly agricultural and related operations. Worksites may include cannabis grows, dairies, orchards, vineyards, livestock, food processing facilities, grain handling operations, greenhouses, agricultural labor housing, and other agricultural environments.

This is not a medical, clinical, or patient care role. It is a technical position focused on occupational health hazards in agricultural environments, including exposure assessment, industrial hygiene sampling, hazard evaluation, and control of workplace risks associated with farming and agricultural operations.

*CISHI1 Monthly Salary Range 56: $5,271.00 to $7,082.00*

*CISHI2 Monthly Salary Range 60: $5,812.00 to $7,817.00*

*CISHI3 Monthly Salary Range 63: $6,735.00 to $9,065.00*

*Salary depends on qualifications

**In addition to the base salary above**

Industrial Hygienists and Safety & Health Professionals will be compensated basic salary plus 10%for each hour they are required to use personal protective equipment (excluding hard hats, boots, hearing and eye protection) to enter a hazardous worksite to consult, inspect or investigate where serious hazards are present.

PLUS

King County Premium Pay - If assigned to a permanent duty station in King County, employees will receive 5%Premium Pay calculated from their base salary.

AND IF BILINGUAL

If hired as bilingual (not required), after passing an assessment of your ability to write and speak fluently. We do not use translating software. Employees with bilingual responsibilities receive a 5% increase in pay.

ALSO

All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for this position will be provided by L&I DOSH as specified in WAC 296-800-16020.
