Position Overview
Job Description
Zain Iraq is seeking an Employment & Labor Law Counsel to manage all labor law matters for one of Iraq's largest private sector employers. This role involves advising on Iraqi Labor Law No. 37 of 2015, workforce restructuring, employee relations disputes, and social security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on compliance with Iraqi Labor Law No. 37 of 2015
- Handle employee disputes, disciplinary proceedings, and termination matters
- Draft employment contracts, HR policies, and workplace regulations
- Manage social security registration and compliance with the Ministry of Labor
- Advise on work permit requirements for foreign employees
- Handle labor disputes before Iraqi labor courts
- Support workforce restructuring and redundancy programs
Requirements
- LLB from an accredited Iraqi university
- 3-5 years of experience in employment and labor law in Iraq
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi Labor Law No. 37 of 2015 and social security regulations
- Experience handling labor court proceedings
- Arabic and English drafting skills
- In-house legal experience preferred
Compensation
IQD4,000,000 - IQD6,500,000/year
