- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including share purchase agreements, articles of incorporation, and board resolutions
- Manage corporate minute books and maintain corporate registrations through Ontario Business Registry
- File annual returns, articles of amendment, and other corporate filings with Corporations Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services
- Coordinate closing logistics for M&A transactions and manage closing books
- Manage partner calendars, travel arrangements, and client billing
Requirements
- Legal assistant diploma or equivalent from an accredited program
- 2-4 years experience as a legal assistant in a corporate practice group
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, DeltaView/Compare Suite, and accounting software
- Knowledge of corporate filing requirements under CBCA and OBCA
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
