Job Description
BBA//Fjeldco is seeking a Geothermal & Energy Lawyer to advise on Iceland's renewable energy sector, including geothermal licensing, power purchase agreements, and cross-border energy projects. You will work with energy companies, municipalities, and international investors on regulatory and transactional matters.
Responsibilities
Advise on geothermal exploration and production licences. Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements and energy supply contracts. Support project financing for renewable energy developments. Counsel on environmental impact assessments and regulatory approvals.
Requirements
Cand.Jur. or LL.M. degree. 3-6 years of experience in energy law, natural resources, or project finance. Knowledge of Icelandic Electricity Act and geothermal resource regulations. English fluency required for cross-border mandates.
