Job Description
PT Pertamina (Persero) is seeking a Head of Legal for its Upstream Operations division at the headquarters on Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta, near the Mahkamah Agung (Supreme Court). You will lead a team of 15+ legal professionals managing production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, and regulatory compliance across Pertamina's oil and gas operations in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Papua.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft production sharing contracts (PSC) and gross-split agreements with SKK Migas
- Advise on environmental compliance under UU PPLH (Environmental Law) and AMDAL requirements
- Manage disputes with contractors and joint venture partners through BANI or international arbitration
- Oversee regulatory filings with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM)
- Lead the upstream legal team and develop departmental strategy
Requirements
- LLB from a top university; LLM in energy law, international law, or related field
- Admitted as Advokat by PERADI
- 10+ years experience in energy, mining, or natural resources law
- Deep knowledge of Indonesian PSC regime and UU Migas
- Experience with international arbitration (ICC, SIAC, ICSID)
Responsibilities
Negotiate PSCs, advise on environmental compliance, manage disputes, oversee ESDM filings, lead upstream legal team
