Job Description
Jones Day's Taipei office seeks an International Arbitration Associate to handle cross-border commercial disputes resolved through arbitration under ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, and CAA rules. The role involves disputes in technology, construction, and international trade sectors.
Responsibilities
Manage international arbitration proceedings from commencement through award enforcement; draft statements of claim, memorials, and witness statements; prepare for and attend arbitration hearings; advise on arbitration clause drafting and dispute resolution strategy; handle award recognition and enforcement proceedings under the New York Convention in Taiwan.
Requirements
Taiwan bar admission or common law qualification; 3-6 years of international arbitration or commercial litigation experience; experience with institutional arbitration rules (ICC, SIAC, HKIAC); strong legal research, brief-writing, and oral advocacy skills; fluent in Mandarin and English.
