Job Description
Baker McKenzie is seeking an IP & Technology Associate for its Hong Kong office at One Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay. You will advise technology companies and multinational clients on intellectual property protection, licensing, data privacy, and digital commerce matters in Hong Kong and Greater China.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and cross-border data transfer requirements
- Draft and negotiate technology licensing, SaaS, and outsourcing agreements
- Handle trade mark and patent prosecution and enforcement in Hong Kong and mainland China
- Advise on fintech regulatory matters under the SFC and HKMA frameworks
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong or England & Wales
- 2-4 years PQE in IP, technology, or data privacy law
- Interest in fintech and digital commerce
