Job Description
SEB Estonia is seeking a Legal Adviser to support our Corporate Banking division in Tallinn. You will provide legal advice on lending transactions, trade finance, and corporate client relationships across the Baltic region.
The role involves drafting and reviewing loan agreements, guarantees, and security documents under Estonian law, including the Asjaiguseseadus (Law of Property Act) and Pandiseadus (Pledge Act). You will also advise on regulatory matters related to the Krediidiasutuste seadus (Credit Institutions Act).
Responsibilities
Draft and review loan agreements, security documents, and guarantees for corporate clients. Advise on legal risks in lending transactions and collateral structures. Support due diligence for corporate banking transactions. Liaise with the Estonian Land Register (Kinnistusraamat) on mortgage registrations. Advise on regulatory compliance matters under the Krediidiasutuste seadus.
Requirements
Oigusteaduse magister from a recognized university. 3-5 years of experience in banking law or corporate finance. Knowledge of Estonian property law (Asjaiguseseadus) and security instruments. Experience drafting loan documentation. Fluent in Estonian and English; Swedish or Russian is a plus.
