Position Overview
Job Description
Arab Potash Company, one of the world's largest potash producers with operations at the Dead Sea, seeks a Legal Adviser to join its Amman corporate office in Shmeisani. You will handle environmental compliance, mining concession agreements, export contracts, and joint venture documentation, working at the intersection of Jordanian mining law and international commercial practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on environmental compliance under Jordan's Environment Protection Law No. 6 of 2017
- Draft and negotiate mining concession agreements and renewals with the Ministry of Energy
- Review export contracts and international supply agreements for potash and bromine products
- Support joint venture negotiations with international mining partners
- Manage regulatory filings with the Natural Resources Authority
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; LLM in environmental or natural resources law preferred
- Admitted to the Jordan Bar Association
- 6-8 years PQE in environmental, mining, or energy law
- Experience with government concessions and regulatory compliance
- Arabic and English bilingual
