Legal Analyst — Banking Supervision
Position Overview
Job Description
Banca d'Italia is recruiting a Legal Analyst for its Banking Supervision Legal Division at the historic Palazzo Koch on Via Nazionale in Rome, near Piazza della Repubblica. You will support the legal aspects of banking supervision within the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), contributing to Italy's role in European banking oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal analysis on supervisory decisions, sanctions proceedings, and fit-and-proper assessments
- Research and draft legal opinions on CRD/CRR requirements and their transposition into Italian law
- Support licensing procedures for new banks and investment firms
- Contribute to the Bank's consultation responses to EBA, ECB, and ESRB
Requirements
- Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza with 110/110 or cum laude; LLM in EU/financial law strongly preferred
- 0-2 years post-qualification experience
- Excellent academic record in EU law, banking law, or administrative law
- Fluent English; competitive concorso (public competition) entry
