Legal Counsel — Aviation & Regulatory

Royal Jordanian Airlines, Jordan's national flag carrier based near Queen Alia International Airport, seeks a Legal Counsel to manage aviation regulatory matters, IATA compliance, and commercial contracts. You will work from the airline's Abdali corporate office, handling route licensing, airport agreements, and fleet leasing documentation under Jordanian Civil Aviation Law.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on aviation regulatory compliance with the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission
• Draft and negotiate aircraft lease agreements and engine purchase contracts
• Handle IATA compliance, codeshare agreements, and interline arrangements
• Manage insurance claims and liability matters arising from flight operations
• Advise on passenger rights under the Montreal Convention and Jordanian legislation

Requirements

• LLB from a recognised university; expertise in aviation law preferred
• Admitted to the Jordan Bar Association
• 6-10 years PQE in aviation, transport, or commercial law
• Knowledge of IATA regulations and international aviation treaties
• Fluent in Arabic and English
