Job Description
The Bank of Tanzania (BOT) is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the Banking Supervision Department. The role involves providing legal opinions on banking regulations, drafting regulatory guidelines, advising on enforcement actions against non-compliant financial institutions, and supporting the licensing process for banks and financial institutions under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized Tanzanian university. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. 3-6 years' experience in banking regulation, financial services law, or corporate law. Understanding of the Bank of Tanzania Act, Banking and Financial Institutions Act, and Anti-Money Laundering Act. Tanzanian citizenship is mandatory.
