Job Description
BHP's Perth office at Central Park, 152-158 St Georges Terrace is looking for a Legal Counsel to support commercial and procurement activities across BHP's Western Australian iron ore operations in the Pilbara. You will draft and negotiate major services contracts, equipment supply agreements, and logistics arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts for mining services, equipment supply, and logistics
- Advise on procurement policies and compliance with BHP's Global Minimum Requirements
- Handle contractual claims, variations, and dispute resolution
- Support digital transformation contracts including autonomous haulage and remote operations technology
Requirements
- Admitted as a solicitor in WA (or eligible for admission); 3-6 years PQE in commercial/contracts
- Experience with mining services or infrastructure contracts preferred
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills
- Ability to work with operational teams in a fast-paced environment
