Job Description
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe seeks a Legal Counsel to advise on foreign exchange regulation, exchange control policy and legal frameworks governing Zimbabwe's monetary and financial system.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal opinions on exchange control applications and exemptions
- Review international payment agreements and SWIFT-related legal issues
- Advise treasury on legal aspects of ZiG monetary instruments
- Liaise with SADC, COMESA and IMF on monetary law matters
Requirements
- LLB; international financial law or banking law training preferred
- 3–5 years post-admission experience; central bank or financial institution background ideal
- Strong knowledge of the Exchange Control Act and RBZ Act
Compensation
$2,500 - $4,000/year
