Legal Counsel
Position Overview
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially oriented Lawyer with strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal writing. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and comfortable working 100% in an English-speaking environment, collaborating cross-functionally with legal, commercial, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
- SaaS and software licensing agreements
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and supplier contracts
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) / Confidentiality Agreements
- Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
- Redline and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance
- Prepare agreements using standard templates (e.g., Terms and Conditions, Purchase Orders, amendments and reseller agreements)
- Review and ensure compliance of contractual terms with internal policies and legal standards
- Manage amendments and extensions of existing agreements
- Provide legal and commercial advice on transactions and business initiatives
- Advise on intellectual property protection and data privacy matters
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (commercial, sales, and management teams)
- Advice on legal risks
- Handle ad-hoc legal tasks and projects as required
- 1–3 years of experience as a corporate or commercial lawyer
- Strong experience in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and redlining
- Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent); Master’s degree is a plus
- Solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law; exposure to tax, or data protection/privacy is an advantage
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions
