Job Description

Legal Counsel – Retail Banking Compliance

DBS Bank is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Consumer Banking & Wealth Management legal team at Marina Bay Financial Centre. You will provide legal support on retail banking products, digital banking initiatives, and regulatory compliance across DBS's regional operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on retail banking products including deposits, credit cards, personal loans, and mortgage products
  • Review and draft consumer-facing terms and conditions, product documentation, and marketing materials
  • Advise on MAS regulations, Banking Act requirements, and consumer protection obligations
  • Support DBS's digital banking and fintech initiatives, including PayLah!, DBS digibank, and open banking APIs
  • Ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) for customer data handling
Requirements
  • Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, or qualified in a common law jurisdiction
  • 3–5 years of experience in banking law, either in-house or at a law firm
  • Knowledge of MAS regulations, Banking Act, and PDPA
  • Experience with digital banking products and fintech regulation is preferred
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced environment
