Job Description
Telia Lietuva, Lithuania's largest telecommunications company and part of the Telia Company group, is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Telecoms & Data Protection for our Kaunas office. You will advise on regulatory compliance, data protection, and commercial matters across Telia Lietuva's operations.
The role involves working with the Elektroniniu rysiu istatymas (Law on Electronic Communications), GDPR, and the Asmens duomenu teisinies apsaugos istatymas. You will liaise with the Rysiniu reguliavimo tarnyba (RRT - Communications Regulatory Authority) and the Valstybine duomenu apsaugos inspekcija (State Data Protection Inspectorate).
Responsibilities
Advise on regulatory compliance for Telia Lietuva's telecommunications and digital services operations. Support data protection compliance across all business units, including DPIA preparation. Liaise with RRT (Communications Regulatory Authority) on regulatory matters and spectrum issues. Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership deals. Advise on new product launches, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud services.
Requirements
Teises magistras or equivalent law degree. 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications, technology, or data protection law. Knowledge of the Elektroniniu rysiu istatymas and Lithuanian telecoms regulation. Experience with GDPR compliance and data protection matters. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
