Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh, is recruiting a Legal Officer for its Banking Regulation and Policy Department. The position involves providing legal advisory support on banking regulations, monetary policy instruments, and financial sector compliance.

Responsibilities
Provide legal opinions on banking regulations and circulars. Review and draft regulatory instruments and policy documents. Advise on licensing applications for banks and financial institutions. Handle legal matters related to foreign exchange regulations under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act 1947. Support enforcement actions against non-compliant financial institutions.
Requirements
LLB from a government-approved university (LLM in Banking/Financial Law preferred). Enrolled as Advocate with Bangladesh Bar Council. Minimum 3 years experience in banking law or financial regulation. Knowledge of Bangladesh Bank Order 1972, Banking Companies Act 1991, and Financial Institutions Act 1993.
