Job Description
The Competition Authority of Kenya seeks a Legal Officer to support its mandate of promoting and protecting competition and consumer welfare in the Kenyan market. The role involves merger analysis, cartel investigations, and consumer complaint resolution under the Competition Act 2010.

Responsibilities
Analyze merger and acquisition notifications for competition implications. Investigate complaints of restrictive trade practices, abuse of dominance, and cartel conduct. Draft enforcement decisions and recommendations to the Authority's Board. Support consumer protection investigations and awareness campaigns. Monitor compliance with merger conditions.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university. 2-4 years experience in competition law, commercial law, or regulatory practice. Knowledge of Competition Act 2010 and its subsidiary legislation. Understanding of economic concepts related to market analysis.
