Job Description
TANESCO seeks a Legal Officer to join its Legal Department, focusing on contracts management and procurement. The role involves drafting and reviewing power purchase agreements, EPC contracts, supply agreements, and ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement Act. The Legal Officer will support major infrastructure projects including power generation and transmission line construction across Tanzania.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized Tanzanian university. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. 3-5 years' experience in contract drafting, procurement law, or in-house legal practice. Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act, Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) regulations, and the Electricity Act. Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
