Legal Officer — Monetary Policy Division
Position Overview
Job Description
Bank Indonesia, the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia, is recruiting a Legal Officer for its Monetary Policy Division at the headquarters on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, opposite the Monumen Nasional (Monas). You will provide legal analysis on monetary policy instruments, payment systems regulations, and macroprudential supervision under UU Bank Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review Bank Indonesia regulations (PBI) and circular letters (SEBI) on monetary policy
- Provide legal opinions on foreign exchange regulations and capital flow management
- Advise on payment system licensing under the Payment Systems Blueprint
- Coordinate with OJK and Kementerian Keuangan on financial stability framework
- Represent Bank Indonesia in international forums (BIS, IMF, ASEAN central bank meetings)
Requirements
- LLB from a top Indonesian university (UI, UGM, or UNPAD preferred)
- 3-5 years experience in banking regulation, financial law, or central bank operations
- Strong understanding of Indonesian monetary policy framework
- Fluent in English for international coordination
- Government employment experience preferred
