Job Description
The Kenya Premier League seeks a Legal Officer to manage legal affairs related to football governance, player contracts, broadcasting rights, and sponsorship agreements. This role combines sports law, intellectual property, and commercial contracts in one of Africa's most dynamic football markets.
Responsibilities
Draft and review player employment contracts and transfer agreements. Advise on broadcasting and media rights negotiations. Handle disputes before the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) and FKF Disciplinary Committee. Review sponsorship, licensing, and merchandising agreements. Ensure compliance with FIFA, CAF, and FKF regulations.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university. 2-3 years PQE in commercial, sports, or entertainment law. Understanding of FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP), Sports Act 2013, and broadcasting rights frameworks. Passion for sports development in Kenya.
